Release Notes

Introduction

CBMMark is a benchmarking suite for the C64 and C128 computers. CBMMark can analyze the performance of any kernel compliant drive. CBMMark performs tests using REL, PRG and SEQ files.

Features

  • Allows executing of tests on multiple drives in one session.
  • Allows saving results of tests to a text file for later retrieval.
  • Benchmarks 400, 40, and 4 block SEQ file CRUD access.
  • Benchmarks 4K and 8k PRG CRUD access.
  • Benchmarks 50 record REL file CRUD access.

Changes from Beta 2

  • Breaking Change - Results file now includes a new header row indicating the version of CBMMark used to generate the result.
  • Breaking Change - Results file now includes NTSC or PAL in the system description header.
  • Breaking Change - Kernal CRC calculation now includes the Kernal jump table information which allows proper detection of speed loaders.

Known Issues

  • Results screen has placeholder for larger PRG file tests. A technique to perform larger PRG file tests is being determined for the next Beta.
  • The next Beta should include a random REL file record read test.
